Consultations

Our clinic offers a fully equiped consultting room, where the patient can be seen and examined in depth, taking all the time necessary.

During the consultation the owner will answer a series of questions which will help guide us to a diagnosis. When necessary we can offer free basic tests such as skin test, ear checks, parasite checks etc

we colaborate with external specialists who attend our clinic when required. Among these we have a special ultrasound machine for detecting  and evaluating cardiac problerms

Preventive medicine

Preventative medicine encorporates ways to eliminate or reduce the possibity of our pet becoming ill. This can range from good diet, correct parasite treatments, vaccinations, exercise, dental care, healthy living habits etc.

We, at the Marbella Veterinary Clinic, encourage preventative medicine as the best way to avoid unecessary suffering in our pets and to lengthen and increase their quality of live. With this in mind, we offer preventative medicine programs especiality adapted for each animal.

Anti-parasite treatment(internal and external) Parasites, as well as being terribly annoying, transmit illness among not only pets bur also to the people with whom they live.  When choosing the correct antiparasite treatment one must take into account living conditions, contact with other animals, habits, travels etc.

Our clinic will suggest, without obligation, the program mus suited to your pets needs.

Vaccinations. This is the simplest way to avoid sickness in your pet and to prevent it spreading to your  human family. A correct vaccination should be done when the animal is in perfect health and free from parasites whic is why your pet should be checked by a recognised vet before vaccinations.

 The vaccinations of dogs, cats and ferrets should begin between the firts six to eight weeks of their lives. It protects our pet agains contagious illnsses which may often be fatal or be difficult and expensive to cure.

Once complete, this immunization is followed by the rabies vaccine(obligatory) of two separate dosis in one month. Adults animals are vaccinated one a year for rabies(obligatory) as well as other illnesses.

Rabits are vaccinated from six weeks old, principaly agains mixomatosis and viral  pneumonia. The booster is anual.

This protocol can vary for several reasons.

Anual Check-Up.   This is recommended once a year and ususally coincides with the booster.

Older/Aging pet check-up. Is very important to increase the length and quality of the animal life. The purpose is to detect problems as early as possible son as to take measures before it  is too late.

Dental hygiene. Small breeds and older pets are more sensitive to these illnesses can affect others areas which is why keeping the teeth free of plaque is the first step to a healthy animal.

Veterinary certificates

We provide pet  travel certificates for all over  the world. You should obtain information about the correct procedure from the embassy of the country you are planing to visit, and we will do that is necessary.

We are able to use TRACES meaning we can provide travel certificates for any country in the EU for multiple animal travel or if you want to send animals ofentimes.

We also provide health certificates for the licensing of potentially dangerous dogs, internal ant-parasite and rabies for those countries or administrations which require them.
